Wildlife Management at St Anns Allotments

Urban Nature is a  volunteer run project working with STAA to preserve and highlight the wildlife value of St Anns Allotments.Established around 1835 they are probably the oldest and largest inEurope. They are a rare survival of a type of hedged gardens, found just outside the centre of industrial towns, which were once common in the 19th century. Their unique history and heritage has been recognised and it is a Grade 2 listed site.

We are inviting interested volunteers to come and help preserve the wildlife value of St Anns allotments. Wildlife Task Days are held twice a month and our next session is on Saturday 28 April. We meet up at Randsom Road gate at 10:00 am, interested contact Rob on 01159110207 or just turn up on the day. For more information visit www.staa-allotments.org.uk
